Good place to spend the night

My family and I spend the night at Nuevo Castillo Hotel after nearly an hour trying to find a room in other hotels in downtown Mendoza, almost every hotel we went to was full. It was our first time visiting the city and we were lucky to find this hotel late at night. Please note that this is not a 5 or even 4 stars hotel but overall is good, clean with basic amenities, good enough to spend the night in a very central area of the city. Another good thing I found is that it actually accepted payment in US dollars, something no other hotel or place in Mendoza will do, not sure why. The clerk was friendly, respectful and very helpful. Next morning we woke up a little late but the clerk was very nice in preparing extra coffee, orange juice and placed pastries for all of us, even though it was few minutes past the breakfast hour.
We stayed one night here but given the opportunity to visit Mendoza again I probably come back to this Hotel given its central location, cleanliness, security and good price. I recommend Nuevo Castillo Hotel.

Location, location, location

Excellent location, Friendly service, fast wifi, in need of refurbishment. As I was going to attend an international event at the Hyatt, it was the best choice for my budget! Good value for money if you need to be in that precise area.

Excellent budget hotel

Was looking for a hotel in Mendoza city centre and almost all was full or we had option to go to a 3 star hotel for between 1100-2000 ARG for one night. This one was 510 (around 40 USD) and it was great for that price. It was clean, located close to Plaza Chile, pretty quit and the staff was very friendly and helpful in general. If you looking for a cheap hotel with good standard I can strongly recommend this one.

Very helpful staff and a good located hotel

We stayed only one night in this hotel but we had a really good experience!! The room was big enough and the bathroom was very clean and big as well. The hotel is good located, just in front of a nice plaza and 2 blocks from the center-plaza away.
The staff is very helpful and friendly! They tried everything to reserve a good wine-tour, gave us a lot of informations and explained us all what we wanted to know. We would stay here again!!

Experiencia nefasta

De comienzo las recepcionistas fueron muy groseras y toscas con nosotros. Seguido de la PÉSIMA HIGIENE del lugar, cuando abrimos la ropa de cama para acostarnos estaban con pelos!! ni siquiera las habían cambiado, las puertas no cerraban y la fontanería era un completo asco. No hay agua caliente o se corta o no tienen presión, las almohadas descocidas y con hongos, los colchones duros y el "aire acondicionado" no es más que una caldera, lo único bueno que tiene es que es céntrico. Los muebles son de antaño y la distribución de camas fue pésima desde que llegamos. No volvería ni mucho menos lo recomiendo, es un lugar sucio, descuidado y de atención nefasta. Las recepcionistas fueron lo peor.
