Our best stay in Aruba - feels just like home!

I just returned from a one week stay at the Tropical Digs Aruba Condominiums located at the Divi Golf and Beach Resort. We had a fantastic time. We also loved the condominium instead of staying at an overcrowded all inclusive hotel, Especially during these `covid ` times.
Our condominium overlooked the golf course. Theses condos have full security access. Only those staying at the condos are aloud to enter. The condo was very clean and absolutely we saw no bugs!
First, we took a cab from the airport which is about a 20 minute drive. Upon arrival we were greeted and escorted to our condo. Check in was easy. We had a one bedroom condo with a full size pull out couch and bedroom with a king bed. There are two bathrooms and clean bedsheets and towels were provided. The condo was equipped with the essential supplies for a full working kitchen, including a dishwasher and washer and dryer. We made breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. The odd day we would go out for a meal.
We purchased our groceries at the supermarket which is less than 10 minutes away and we just took a cab back to the condo. So for those of the reviews complaining about paper towels etc, you can buy all your necessities at the grocery store just like your at home! The condo had a balcony overlooking the golf course river. It is so peaceful. The pleasant surprise about these condos at Divi is that there is a free shuttle that you can call and they will pick you up at your lobby of your condo, and drive you anywhere within the 5 Divi complexes. That includes beach, casino, restaurants, ice-cream shop and close proximity to the grocery store.
We had dined twice at the Mulligans restaurant on site and both meals were reasonably priced and good. The pool is a two minute walk from the condo and beach towels are provided. There is also a children`s pool with a water slide and it seemed like the kids were having a great time. There is also a restaurant at the pool which you can grab some wings or burgers for an afternoon snack, as well as drinks of course to cool you down.
The beach is about a 6 minute walk from the condo, but if you wish you can call for a pick up. The beach is right across from the entrance to the Divi village with a beautiful stretch of beach where you could walk for an hour. Chairs and huts are also provided free of charge and may be reserved as long as you have your towels. The ocean is spectacular and the weather is always beautiful. There is also a beach bar by the beach where you can grab a salad or burger etc and indulge with a few drinks, especially at `happy hour `which is 4 pm. You can take some scenic pictures of the beach there as well.
A cab to the high-rise hotels and restaurants is $10 each way. The market downtown is also $10 each way. You can get some souvenirs and there are some nice spots for lunch.
I must add as well that the hospital is a 5 minute drive from the condo. Very close.
In conclusion, I think this is one of the most beautiful, clean and safe islands to travel to. Not to mention the condominium providing excellent facilities that are clean and safe for you and especially your young family, where you feel like your at home.!
Thank you Tropical Digs, we really enjoyed our stay and you can count on me to be visiting Tropical Digs Condominiums at the `happy island`of Aruba in the near future. I will share this hidden gem location with my immediate family and friends. Thanks again
Take care and stay safe!

Bait and Switch- Beware!

I reserved a two bedroom unit for February 2025 two months ago and received a confirmation for this. Two days ago I was notified that management companies had changed and it is now under Tropical Beach. I was told my reservation would not be honored but I was free to make another reservation for $200 more a night than I had been guaranteed. I would not trust this management company and advise you to make a reservation directly with the Divi if you would like to stay at this resort.

I should’ve booked through Divi Golf directly

These are private condos located on Divi resort golf course. The unit had minimal necessities for being a condo. There were no coffee filters, no dish washing detergent, no paper towels or salt or pepper. The deposit was $500.00. There was no beach chairs, umbrellas or anything that would justify a $500 deposit. I went with my friend to check him into his unit on the same Divi Golf Resort and he received everything I did not. Including a welcome bottle of wine and a gift basket the following day. I had a single from Tropical Digs and he had a one bedroom and he only paid $10 more a night. Next time I will book directly with Divi Golf instead of Tropical Digs. Divi Resort only charged a $200 deposit. They did not have house keeping only towel exchange daily. It makes more sense to stay at Divi Golf Resort.

Not what it's cracked up to be!!

We love Aruba, love Divi properties and did enjoy our stay BUT many drawbacks to Tropical Digs. We picked this because we were 3 people, needed 2 bedrooms and baths....the king bed in the main bedroom was a horror...the mattress was so bad I spent the entire 10 days on the sofa, I complained and got absolutely no satisfaction from Rica or the management company and as someone else noted the sliding glass door had a huge gap in it was very hard to lock; check in was a nightmare waited forever to get our keys was like no one knew what was going on but they were happy to swipe my credit card. That being said the pool is amazing, bring cash if you want drinks at the bar, staff is excellent on the grounds, restaurant Mulligan's food is really good for any meal.

Pleasant surprise

We booked this place knowing that it is a bit different from the hotel. What a surprise. We got a clean and quiet one bedroom apartment with a full kitchen, two full baths and washer and dryer in unit. They change towels and clean the trash everyday. We could use all the facilities in the Divi resort except the golf, and had to pay food or shopping ourselves as we could not bill to room. The shuttle is a call away and takes us to all adjacent resorts and the casino nearby. It was very smooth dealing with the lady who professionally manages the apartment (and some other units in the same place) - we got an email before arrival explaining everything.
