Good for a stop over.

The rooms are a bit old school but comfy. Location is close to eateries, short walk. Staff are friendly and the establishment and rooms are clean and tidy. Perfect for an overnighter when passing through. Don't think I'd want to stay there for a extended holiday but it suited our needs.

The room was adequate for what we wanted - we were out early morning and late back every day. Bed comfortable - shower clean - staff very helpful and pleasant.

Room was comfortable for an overnight stay but there was a lot of dust on the fan above the bed which was offputting. Also there was some mould in the bathroom. The bed was firm, cups etc clean, the shower warm with plenty of water, clean fluffy towels, a microwave and a short walk to buy dinner at the RSL. Easily found after leaving the main highway north and easy parking.

Value for money motel close to town centre

The Coast Inn is on River Street, Ballina. It is a short walk from the town centre. The outside of the motel looks a little tired, but, the inside is all freshly renovated, clean and comfortable. There is free parking. The rooms have tea coffee facilities, toaster, air con, wifi, microwave and a fridge. I also enjoyed the complimentary shortbread biscuits. There was no one at reception on my arrival and I had to ring another motel to get key out of a code box. Overall I thought the Coast Inn was value for money.
