Very clean large room with modern bathroom. Didn't have breakfast but there are many good cafes nearby.

Hotel Krone was great! We enjoyed the walk ability and surroundings. The rooms were very clean, except for the couch that was a bit stained and could do with a wash or replacement. We really liked the shower - very spacious with a great water head. It was really nice that 24/7 coffee/tea was available. Hotel is above a bar, but we were on the 4th floor and didn’t hear it at all. The only things we would change about our trip were that the wifi in the room was not great, and there was no luggage stand or place for suitcases.

Great hotel

Such a lovely hotel full of character, in a great location, opposite the church so you do hear the bells but all part of the charm. Rooms lovely and warm, bathroom a little small but fully functional and plenty of hot water. Breakfast good and the 24 hour coffee is great and was appreciated! Staff lovely and very helpful loved Salzburg would definitely return!

A small piece of jewellery

A small, fine piece of jewellery in the centre of Salzburg. Very centrally located it offers every comfort. Warm, cozy rooms, ample breakfast and nice care. A courteous landlord who also knows about the history of the house.

Never again !!

The credo of the two owners (Felleis&Knittelfelder) of the Hotel Krone 1512 in Salzburg is:
Each of our houses is made to make us feel comfortable. We hope you too!
Well, then I would recommend the two gentlemen to spend the nights at the Hotel Krone, room 16.
The bar on the ground floor is not a nice hotel bar as it is described, but an alcohol bottling point for locals.
Sleep is unthinkable until 3 a.m. Every time the door is slammed downstairs, the whole room shakes. Late in the day, people smoke and the smoke of cigarettes runs through the hotel.
According to the owner, the bar does not belong to the hotel (??). This can be read in the reviews. However, there is a sign on the front door to the hotel pointing to check-in at the bar. The bar staff accompanies hotel guests to the reception and checks in.
When we approached the friendly and striving receptionist when checking out these circumstances, she just nodded understandingly. The problem was known, but it did not have the power to grant any price reduction.
The fact that the windows of the room do not open, the door of the small bathroom and the shower cubicle for it do not close, together with poor cleanliness and the price of € 200,-- , completes the unreasonable stay.
All in all, I would not recommend anyone to spend a night at this hotel. Except, as already mentioned, the owners.
