This is a really nice place to stay to be ...'away from it all'. Tucked away in Sematismenos, this little gem is ideal of a totally relaxing holiday. A car is essential as there is nothing in the village itself so even a grocery run is a 10 minute car ride. 5 self contained apartments and a small swimming pool is what makes up Evkarpos and it's great.

Wonderful pretty country house

Evkarpos Country House is a wonderful accommodation while staying in Cyprus. It is about a 25 minute drive west from the Larnaca airport. Don't arrive in the dark as it was a bit difficult to find. The place was beautiful, clean and welcoming. The host, Klea, was very friendly and accommodated our very early arrival (4 am) which was very nice!! There was bottled water, bread, butter, eggs and coffee which was much appreciated as it tied us over till we got to the grocery store. Only one negative is that you had to drive in order to get groceries, drinks or food. We were hoping that it was located within walking distance to stores, restaurant, or tavern, but it was not. Otherwise we had a pleasant stay. By the way, the internet was excellent, the beds very comfortable and the kitchen was fully equipped.

Lovely traditional Cypriot country home away from it all

My wonderful boyfriend chose this place as a surprise two night stay and it was absolutely glorious. Tucked away in a quaint little village near Tochni, the Evkarpos house has its own little courtyard and private pool. The owner of the property took the time to drive over and greet us the next day, making sure we had everything we needed. His wife, who had the know how of the tourist activities of the area gave us instructions on how to watch halloumi cheese making (which was entertaining!) and took the time to accommodate for us with little notice.
The house itself was very pretty, clean, and contained everything we needed. Definitely coming back one summer to enjoy it to its fullest!
We also visited the restaurant around the corner one evening run by a lovely British guy called Dean. Beautiful food and excellent service, well recommended!

Was very happy with our stay. I wish there had been smaller blankets to use while kicking back and taking an afternoon to read. The small village was not touristy, yet close enough those areas to visit without a struggle. Do rent a car, go explore. the smaller villages are so interesting and so much worth the effort of visiting. GO!
