Comfortable and warm welcoming

The weather in January was rainy and too cold. it was amazing, I enjoyed my staying there... also the staff are very friendly and food was nice . If you wanna visit the market, take a taxi just for 5 EGP..

Not Again

As the external temperature was about 8 degrees (and the room temp about the same) I decide to use the air con in order to warm the room. Unfortunately the air con was producing only cold air with high noise. In mean time the doors and window's air and noise insulation was terrible with conclusion to sleep dressed with all my clothes on. The bed was single, wooden and very old, the mattress smaller than the bed (you could see the wooden boards and there were not any towels and soap in the bathroom. The men that carried on our luggage ( two small cabin luggage) insisted for "baxis".

Facade

I stayed only 1 night for business. Entering the lobby, it feels like a palace. Entering the room, it is very average.... In agreement with another reviewer, the reception staff (3 yound ladies) are never smiling, speak harshly, and are not helpful. The most often heard sentence in the mouths of these ladies is "Please wait". It took almost 30 minute to get a formal invoice done because at 0915H the cashier was not there... and could not stamp it because at 0945H the manager was not there either.
Obviously the owner(s) are not interested about customer satisfaction, only about fancy decoration of this lobby.
My room was reasonably clean despite weathered tasteless furniture, paint, and wall tiles, which is sort of forgiven for a shorefront hotel. Strangely, the bathroom was disproportionate : they could have moved a wall 1m to give more space in the room and less in the bathroom. Wifi signal was weak but manageable. The room had a small fridge, kettle, 2 cups, A/C, and local and satellite TV, all OK. Nice balcony overlooking a garden, and the sea at an angle. I believe there are other rooms with a full sea view.
In conclusion, kick the management out, pull out decoration, throw away furniture, and bring in a professional operator, and you will have a very good hotel.

Poor service & unprofessional staff

Although the hotel's got the best location in the city but it needs major maintenance in all the public areas and land scaping, stuff are totally unprofessional especially the ladies at the receptions who are not friendly at all. There was no backup generator or any power source when they had power shut down.
