Pretty reasonable

The restaurant and hotel is located near the Wienburg Park in Muenster, and has great outdoor seating area. I was there in August 2015 for a wedding, and both service and food were good. There is ample space for parking.

Bad experience

We had made the room resevation vía e-booking and received the corresponding confirmation. When we arrived there a very unpleasent rececionist informed us that they had not confirmed the reservation, but e-booking and that they did not have any room for us. They left us without room and on the street at 8 pm.

A Nice Historic Hotel

Excellent service, included excellent breakfast. Dinner prices are on the high side. Nature trails are right by the hotel. Interesting statues right near the pasture. A pleasant stay in a quiet room. Hotel has no air conditioning and our room had only one window. Hot weather makes for not comfortable sleeping.

Nie wieder!

Wir waren "nur" zum Beerdigungskaffee in der Wienburg. Wahrscheinlich ist das auch gut so, denn Preis und Leistung stehen in einem desolaten Verhältnis. Vermutlich waren wir die einzigen Gäste, sodass es durchaus möglich sein sollte, einen guten Service zu organisieren. Leider Fehlanzeige! Es gab vier eingedeckte Tische für gut 30 Personen. Auf jedem Tisch stand sehr guter und leckerer Kuchen, sowie eine Reihe an Schnittchen. Dazu gab es Filterkaffee und eine Tomaten-/Gemüsecremesuppe wurde gereicht. Geschmacklich alles einwandfrei! Wasser gab es nicht! Die Servicekräfte mussten wir suchen, um etwas Wasser zu bekommen. Darüber kann man sicher hinwegsehen, wenn dann nicht am Ende noch die böse Überraschung käme...die Rechnung. Pro Person wurden gut 35 Euro aufgerufen. Das ist aus unserer Sicht einfach nur unverschämt. Leider waren wir zu einem identischen Anlass bereits wenige Monate vorher ebenfalls in Münster unterwegs, wo für eine vergleichbare Leistung in etwa die Hälfte pro Person berechnet wurde. Wir kommen nicht wieder!

Frühstück - nicht zu empfehlen!

Wir waren zum Frühstück da. Leider absolut nicht empfehlenswert.
Das Buffet war sehr abgegrast, wurde nur sehr zögerlich aufgefüllt und überhaupt war das Buffet eher unzufriedenstellend: Die Brötchen trocken, der Käse angetrocknet, die Eier lauwarm und das Buffet, wie gesagt, sehr lückenhaft. Es wirkte ingesamt sehr chaotisch und es schien, als ob das Person komplett überfordert sei. Schließlich wurde an der Kasse noch zu viel abgerechnet.
Meine Kritik schrieb ich dem Hotel, allerdings ging man seitens der Geschäftsführung nicht darauf ein. Es gab auch keine Entschuldigung. Im Gegenteil: Es wurde versucht, das negative Erlebnis schön zu reden. Die lange Wartezeit auf frische Croissants wurden mit dem Interesse des Hotels begründet, möglichst frische Ware anzubieten, wodurch es legitim sei, zu warten. ("Die Kritik das Sie auf Croissents warten müßten, zeigt doch das es in unserer Interesse liegt Ihnen möglichst frische Ware anzubieten, da ist doch die Wartezeit einiger Minuten in Kauf zu nehmen. In Münster gibt es definitiv bessere Adressen, um Frühstücken zu gehen.
