It was fantastic.

A fantastic culinary experience at Ludiek. Reception with a drink on the house. The room was excellent. Nice beds, quiet, lovely shower and beautiful views. We slept very well. The surprise menu was great. All delights and delicious taste. Occasional real taste explosions. Service was relaxed, convivial and knowledgeable. The atmosphere in the restaurant was relaxed the look luxurious but not over the top chic. Willem's liqueur cabinet is impressive. That's a reason to come back. We're definitely going to. Thank you people from Ludiek. ♥️

Don't end up in Room 3.

The hotel is noisy. The night we were there, we heard a frequent rumble next to and/or under our room that was above the kitchen for at least three hours. Called reception but unfortunately that didn't work. Read reviews that showed we weren't the only ones affected by this. We always give honest reviews. So we also want to mention that the service in the restaurant was top notch and the four course menu delicious. However, rest the hotel did not bring us and we had hoped for that.

Very good hotel, with attention to guests and everything of high quality

We stayed one night in this hotel in Havelte, passing through on our bike ride.
The hotel is well organized and thoughtfully organized. Your bike may be in a very spacious shed, where batteries can also be charged. The room, which is spotless, is visibly well thought out about efficient and functional use of the space. A coat rack with hangers, a cupboard to store your belongings, nice chairs, nice table and excellent beds. There is tea, coffee and equipment ready, and a bottle of fresh water. Even the little things are not missing: clean glasses in the bathroom, Rituals hand soap, bath foam and shampoo, soft towels and bath mat, handy bedside tables.
We see many different hotels on our trip, but clearly a perfectionist has been at work here! Everything checks out.
We had room 3, which was registered “with small bathroom”. That wasn't so bad, the size, but the clever layout really helped to make everything look more spacious: smart places for your things, handy hanging hooks, a shelf for the towels. Nothing wrong with that bathroom! Sanitary is modern and fresh, the shower fine.
The very large, covered terrace was a lovely place for us to have lunch. The mostly young employees radiate that they take their work seriously and enjoy it. You will be well advised and well helped. The coffee, the wine, the lunch: everything is equally well cared for and of good quality.
Breakfast is served at the table, so no running along a buffet. Again a stylish simplicity: everything is there in sufficient quantity, no unnecessary frills and above all quality. Even on Monday morning fresh croissants and delicious bread.
In summary: five out of five stars: we felt spoiled and said goodbye with regret.
One tip: room 3 has a window on the side of the hotel where the garbage containers of the restaurant are also located. In hot weather, an unpleasant smell comes off. The window has to be closed, which is a shame. The air conditioning has to be turned off at night because of noise in the other rooms, so then it can get quite stuffy in room 3. The smell also attracts mosquitoes, who enter through the bathroom window. This only plays in hot weather and hot evenings and we met one of those. A comment from us on this was recognized and understood, and is being worked on.

Very good restaurant, hotel well maintained

We were welcomed into the restaurant, which was quite busy. It was therefore a pity that we were not escorted to our room and we were struggling with our luggage. Not suitable if you have difficulty walking, difficult narrow stairs to the rooms. We, two friends, had room 5. The room was a bit dark, but complete. Coffee and tea making facilities, Rituals soap and shampoo in the bathroom. Unfortunately, the size of the bathroom was more like a pipe drawer and the shower floor was very slippery.
Had a delicious cup of tea with special chocolate in the restaurant and had a very good meal in the evening. Not an extensive menu, but a menu put together by the chef. And that was very good! You can also opt for an alternative, but that is quite pricey. The breakfast was very complete, not a buffet, but served at the table. You don't experience that often anymore.
The staff is the friendliest, professional and attentive
All in all a nice stay, not cheap, but worth it!

Boutique hotel, well styled, friendly staff

This boutique hotel opened in 2018. It has nine rooms. Breakfast service is personal, served at your table, with a smile. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Well styled. Sitting area. Modern bathroom with walk-in shower. Nespresso machine. Welcome note and two water bottles on the house.
