Brilliant place to stay on the Taupo lakefront

My Sister had stayed here 15yrs ago so we booked here in a 2 bedroom apartment. There was a double bed in the lounge and 2 bedrooms upstairs, 1 with a king bed, the other with 2 singles.
The apartment was immaculate and clean and the deck upstairs and downstairs offer amazing views over the lake.
Taupo minigolf is right across the road also so that was fun!
The pool area and spa were brilliant! 1.1m in the shallow end and 1.8m in the deep.
The only downside is the super thin walls, but nothing the owners can do about that. Just rubbish 1980s construction.
The beds were super comfy and clean. A1.
If you have a big or wide car, the parking area is really narrow so might have to park on the road.
Brilliant free WiFi too and free Sky TV which was great.
All in all a great place to stay as so close to everything and the reception has free Minties, so that won me over!

Good location but run down and shady booking practices

Hotel was tired and needs work. Very hot upstairs without aircon. Reception “accidentally” cancelled my hotels.com booking on the spot and made me pay directly (obviously trying to avoid fees, but also meant I didn’t get my rewards nights) - refused to respond to emails when I asked for a receipt to put it right.

Awesome accomodation. Super comfy bed, large spacious rooms, cute little spot out the front to watch the sunset, everything you need. Fantastic location, we could walk to all the bars and shops within 5 mins. Lake across the road with a gorgeous view

Lovely staff! The room was exactly as pictured. Clean and comfy in a great location, across the road from the lake and close walk to shops & restaurants. Pool and spa a nice bonus. There is a craft market across the road every Sunday from 9am weather permitting, it was great, Very nice mussel fritters!

Close to centre.Just perfect plan of unit for short or longer holiday stay.Very clean.Beautiful swimming pool area.
Overall highly recommend.
