Victoria in Włocławek - Good Value for Money

The staff was helpful and reliable. Wake-up service perfect. Room very clean, location not far from the centre. And most of all, excellent breakfast; all food was delicious. In general, a very pleasant stay.

Centrally located, close to the city and the promenade by the river. Tired hotel, the room felt well cleaned. Convenient parking.

The hotel needs renovation, is a bit tired with stained carpets and bumpy corridors. It is very dark everywhere in the hotel, both in the lobby and stairs.
Had to walk down the stairs carefully, the lighting is really bad.
The breakfast was ok, as was the lunch I ate on arrival. Convenient with parking directly outside, cost a little but it was worth it.
The door to my hotel room had break marks, didn't feel so safe to go to bed.
In the evening the room smelled of food from the restaurant, and in the morning it smelled of sewage.
How this hotel could get 8.5 in the ranking on Booking is completely incomprehensible, no more than 7 in my opinion.

Quaint

I decided to stay here over the competition Hotel Mlyn which is the 4 star one. Quite frankly Victoria has its charm. Its situated away from any main street which is what I liked. The atmosphere inside is nice, looks well kept with a certain attempt at grandeur which it doesnt fully make a success of but it is a solid attempt nonetheless. Everything worked very well. I must say that what made me give 4 stars is the staff and vibe. Everyone was extremely professional but also nice and helpful. They went out of their way to find me an adapter for the socket and were happy to do it. I would definitely recommend this place.

Does the job

Food is good, had lunch on day of arrival and really enjoyed it. There was also a nice buzz in the restaurant for a Monday afternoon. Wifi is good and the rooms are comfortable. The hotel has all you need and the staff are all very friendly. It is very basic but you are getting good value for money.

Decent hotel

Victoria is a decent hotel. Rooms are spacious, beds comfortable (although most rooms have twin beds... a little narrow to me), everything is clean. Restaurant serves tasty food (nothing fancy) in big portions. Service is nice.
Only two things I can complain about is internet and noisy neighbourhood. Wi-fi in my room was loosing signal all the time... very annoying. Also there is some sort of club across the wall, so until 9-10 pm. noise in my room was unacceptable.
I would stay there again if they accepted Amex.
