Such an amazing place with lovely staff. It’s like stepping back in time. If you’re looking for pure luxury then maybe it’s not ideal but if you want a lovely genuinely beautiful place with a slow pace of life and the most amazing scenery, this is it. We missed the restaurant sadly but there are plenty to choose from, even though the place is really quite small. The shops are superb with local goods. Just amazing. Thank you!

Room in very poor condition

Room without any care, with virtually all the doors to drag on the floor, doors that can not be closed and with rugged nails on display that can easily hurt someone, refrigerator in bad condition that seemed to have been found from the closest trash .... and all this for the modic amount of 220€ per night. The only positive thing is really the outer space and the view.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The receptionist (Anna) was very helpful and knowledgeable giving us some great tips and benefit of her local knowledge.
Our room was very comfortable and clean, the swimming pool area was lovely with fantastic views. Free on street parking is available outside the hotel.
From the hotel you can walk into town, but be aware if you are walking impaired or need a wheelchair then there are some rough cobbled streets and some steep inclines into the town of Monsaraz which could be challenging.
The breakfast at the hotel was also very nice. We will be returning to this hotel.

Suitable for stay in rural environment

Accommodation in rural environment in typical houses. Rural. Large rooms with good mattresses and bed linen access to the bathroom with a step. Window with magnificent view. The very simple breakfast in a very small room.
Very nice outdoor space with pool and lounge.

We stayed for three nights at the Estalagem. It is nicely located in the center of Monsaraz. The receptionists were
very friendly and helpful.
