Relaxed and friendly

We were a group of 5 lady cyclists touring the region and really liked this hotel. It is set back from the main busy street and offered us a quiet and peaceful stay. The rooms are clean and contemporary with modern bathrooms. We enjoyed a tasty dinner outside in a quiet courtyard above the hotel along the ramparts. What a pleasure to eat together again after the COVID lockdown restrictions! Breakfast was served to us at our table inside the restaurant and was good. We felt the owners did all they could to ensure we were comfortable and we liked the friendly and relaxed welcome.

Visited on a quiet Friday evening with a young child. No problem in getting him a half portion of the adult menu. Great friendly service and the food is good and reasonable. Wine though rather pricey as is the water. Not accustomed to Swiss water prices.

Very friendly

Very friendly and courteous staff, nice rooms in the heart of Murten!
Breakfast was actually meant to eat inside, but we got a nice table outside on our wish, for the weather was great!
It‘s a calm and relaxed place,we‘ll be back soon.

Budget Stay

Actually the room are clean and comfort, but there are no washroom and bathroom inside the room. You must use the common washroom and bathroom at your floor. You will heard of door open and close during night time.

Asparagus Soup with Morels!

After spending the afternoon doing the 3 lake cruise, we enjoyed wandering through the arcades lining the roads of Murten, looking at menus to decide where to eat supper.
Restaurant Ringmauer listed Spargel Suppe mit Morcheln [Asparagus Soup with Morel Mushrooms]. Having been introduced to morels by people who became friends on a trip to Switzerland in 1986, we hoped that they might be offered on a menu while there this time. The restaurant was quite busy and there was only 1 waiter, but he was very efficient! The soup was hearty and delicious, though my husband hoped that there might have been more morels.
