We stayed in main lodge. New construction, so seemed clean. Comfortable beds. Spacious bathroom. Games to play by gas fireplace in main lobby. Owners were very welcoming, had good advice about area. The were very knowledgeable about cle Elum.

Special, unique place to stay

I am so excited I found this gem of a place. I live in-state and just wanted a fun place to crash for a night while I did some day hikes in the area and I will definitely be back again. I stayed in one of the cabooses and they are so fun and cozy, and it was nice to have a jacuzzi. Breakfast is fresh and delicious (and dietary restrictions are happily accommodated), and owners Matt and Leanne are definitely a highlight. They're such kind, interesting people and they have poured their heart and soul into this place. They make you feel at home regardless of how long or short your stay is. And the goats and chickens are a fun bonus. I'm already looking forward to my next stay here.

When we tried to contact the property to ask about early check-in, we were unable to get through to anybody after calling three times. On the fourth time we finally got through to someone. They said they had received my voicemail and had sent me an email. The rail cars do not have showers, only tubs. The bed in our rail car was the noisiest bed we have ever slept on and had no support. We woke each other up every time we moved.
The property was clean, and the staff was nice when we finally arrived.

The caboose was wonderful but the hosts were absolutely the best, the nicest all around, and he cooked up fabulous breakfasts!! It was a great place to stay, even moreso if trains are your thing. I would definitely recommend this place and stay there again.
