We came in after some really bad weather producing tornadoes. Kianna (sorry about the spelling) checked us in and she was amazing! She told us that she had been there since 7 am (it was almost 7 pm when we got there) and the second shift had not shown up. Instead of being in a bad mood she was extremely nice. She even had to be back in the morning at 7! Thank you for making our stay pleasant!

Reserved room w/one king and 1 sofa bed. They admitted not looking at first name on reservation and gave our room to someone else. Had to hv a janky roll away bed brought in. Room was right by ice machine, pool, and elevators. People talking loud on patio right by our window until almost 2:00 a.m. Called front desk. Loud late next night also w people in the hallway. Two nights w very little sleep. Tried to sleep during the day, but loud as hell all day.
In addition, sheets and mattress pad didn’t fit the bed, so kept slipping off top of bed both sides.
Wanted to use the pool, but smelled no chlorine and saw too much mold in the room.
No o.j. at breakfast.The lady said she forgot to thaw out. No coffee in afternoon at coffee station, so not sure why it was all set up. Check out was at 12:00 on Sunday, and someone from housekeeping busted right in on us at 11:40!
What has happened to Marriott properties? What a shame.

The weather was really bad when I arrived, rain was pouring, and yet - Adrian the General Manager was mopping the floor at the front entrance. He helped me take my luggage to the room. Definitely, above and beyond!!

Hotel sits facing Interstate 20/59 with no buffers between the hotel and the traffic noise. The hotel front entrance is probably 75 yards from the interstate. So even in your room all you can hear is traffic, horns, trucks and close by is also a set of train tracks so you get that as well. It was hard to sleep, even with our room fan on high, to avoid that traffic noise. So if you like quiet, this is not your hotel. When we first checked in they were unable to give us key cards, they escorted us to our room to let us in. So that now means we couldn't leave the room and come back with out an escort to let us back in. About an hour later, as we waited in the room to hear from them, they sent a text that we could come and get them. S instead of bringing them to us, we had to go by and pick them up. The TV in the room did not work, the AC was bad, luckily it wasn't summer yet in the south, the toilet was dirty and you only had 2 hand towels, 2 wash clothes and 2 bath towels. For a Marriott property this was a poor example of what they stand for as a company. I have stayed at many hotels in Tuscaloosa over the years and this one ranks near the bottom.

Not very impressive property. Location, upkeep of the facilities, and the staff were not memorable at all.
