If you enjoy a laid back, no frills and affordable place away from the crowds in Phu Quoc this is the place for you. We loved our bungalow over the water which had air conditioning, a comfortable bed, and a nice shower. Lauren was very welcoming and we felt like we had made new friends. MiMi was a great cook. They have a happy hour every day and scooters to rent from the property. The plus for us as animal lovers is that there were rescued kittens and puppies so we got our dog and cat fix while traveling. She also has three sweet dogs of her own.

Stay with caution……

Red flags from the start!
No warm welcome like I had read about, no power, couldn’t get scooters even though they said they could. Gail force winds, owners should have canceled our booking evacuated 1 bungalow at 2am, walkway also washed out, no health and safety, no staff on site to ensure guests wellbeing.
had to recuse ourselves at daylight they didn’t even know until they turned up at 9am
Could be a great place with TLC from owners

Perfect Island Stay

Warm island greeting from Lauren and her menagerie of darling animals awaits you at this magical spot on the easter, less developed, side of Phu Quoc. She offers beach house rooms, overwater bungalows, and jungle cabins well as an open air bar/restaurant with great food and drink among warm tropical breezes.
Rent a scooter (Lauren can arrange one for you), explore the island, then return to the quiet serenity of Freedom Beach. Highly recommended!
