Good location

The Hotel is in a good location in the centre and very close to the Grote Markt.
Rooms are basic but functional. No kettle or iron so bring your own if needed.
My only issue was no socket near to the mirror when getting ready.
Beds were clean and comfortable. There was air conditioning but couldn’t get it to work through the night.
Good selection at breakfast which set you up for the day. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Good value hotel.

We're sorry to hear about the trouble with the air conditioning. We'll ensure our maintenance team takes a closer look at it.
Nonetheless, we are pleased that you enjoyed the cleanliness and comfort of our beds. Our central location is indeed a highlight for many of our guests, offering easy access to the Grote Markt and the charms of Sint-Niklaas.

Very sorry for breakfast

Room basic and clean, just very unfortunate for breakfast... they let but people from outside come in offered their cava... but we as hotel guests got no... was hugely chaotic that morning. No place to sit, food was hardly replenished so we have not had a super stay.

Echter, het spijt ons te horen dat het ontbijt niet aan uw verwachtingen voldeed. Onze bedoeling is om iedere gast een plezierige ervaring te bieden, met een uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet en efficiënte service. We betreuren het dat u geen zitplaats kon vinden en dat het aanvullen van het eten niet naar wens was.
Ook vinden we het vervelend te vernemen dat de exclusiviteit van het aanbod, zoals de cava, niet consequent doorgevoerd werd. We nemen uw feedback serieus en zullen deze gebruiken om onze ontbijtservice te verbeteren.

Sint Niklaas was going thru a process of major road and town works. Confusing one-way systems at play gave me a flat tyre reversing back around the right way and hitting a bunch of stones popping out the ground near the kerb.
I think it would be nice to return once the town face-lift is complete... 🤔
Ibis, I thought you'd be better than that. €20 deposit for a kettle and no milk, coffee, tea, or sugar in your room on arrival.. 😒
The ladies working there were lovely enough to give my gf & I a smile 🥰 they know where to park and at what times to pay the machines at the car parks 🤓
Cheap and fairly cheerful but also stressful to load and unload. 🤕

Room with smoke smell

Upon arrival in the room we found that there was smoking. We proposed to move into another room, but this could not, roads fully booked (which we doubt). The solution was an aerosol can to remove the smell. On the one hand, this is super unhealthy and on the other hand, after 10 minutes the smell of smoke returns. We opened the window ajar and when we returned late at night the smell was gone. A reading lamp was defective, and was replaced. At night it was unbearably hot in the room, notwithstanding the adjustment to 16 gr. Breakfast? Sandwiches had been baked the day before and reheated (edges were rock hard). Bread was fresh. Quite a disappointing stay for my birthday. We are sorry about our good experiences at other Ibis - hotels.

We betreuren het ten zeerste dat uw ervaring in ons hotel niet aan uw verwachtingen voldeed. Het spijt ons te horen dat u bij aankomst een onaangename geur in uw kamer aantrof. We begrijpen hoe teleurstellend dit moet zijn geweest en bieden onze excuses aan voor het ongemak. We erkennen ook dat de tijdelijke oplossing met de spuitbus niet bevredigend was en nemen uw feedback serieus.
Daarnaast begrijpen we dat de temperatuur in de kamer niet comfortabel was voor u en dat dit uw verblijf heeft beïnvloed. Onze kamers hebben een individueel regelbaar klimaatbeheersingssysteem, maar het lijkt erop dat dit niet naar behoren heeft gefunctioneerd. We vinden het vervelend dat de broodjes bij het ontbijt niet aan uw verwachtingen voldeden, ondanks het feit dat ons brood vers is en door ons team met zorg wordt bereid.
Desalniettemin, we zijn blij te horen dat het brood tijdens het ontbijt vers was en naar wens. Onze bakkerij zorgt elke nacht voor vers gebakken brood en broodjes, en we nemen trots in de kwaliteit van onze ontbijtproducten.
Graag tot een volgende keer voor een gegarandeerd betere ervaring.

Room; staff: nothing to criticize
Central location; nice cozy bar and breakfast room.
The comments / lesser points that also keep recurring with other guests
are due to noise on the street and due to breakfast (do not refill in time; left and right some other note.).
But overall pleasant to stay

Wij zijn verheugd dat u de kamer en de service van ons personeel waardeerde. Het is altijd ons doel om een comfortabel verblijf te bieden met een persoonlijke touch.
Desalniettemin begrijpen we dat het lawaai van de straat soms overlast kan veroorzaken. Onze kamers zijn uitgerust met dubbele beglazing om geluid te minimaliseren. Wat betreft het ontbijt streven we ernaar om alles tijdig aan te vullen en we nemen uw opmerkingen ter harte om onze service te verbeteren.
Tot slot zijn we blij dat u de centrale ligging van ons hotel en onze gezellige bar en ontbijtruimte als positief ervaren heeft. We zijn trots op onze locatie in het hart van Sint-Niklaas en de sfeer die we in het hotel creëren.
