The hostel exceeded all my expectations.
Well organized, very large, spacious rooms (I got one with four beds), cleaned daily.
The bed could be a little more comfortable and the bathroom shower a little bigger. But that didn't take away from the experience, I really enjoyed it and if I return to Santiago I will certainly stay in the same place.
Well located, you can walk to several tourist attractions.
The service is wonderful, Gaston, Gustavo and Catalina are sensational. Always ready.
I highly recommend the hostel, it made my trip to Santiago wonderful.

Dangerous region

I was literally robbed at the hostel door when I left to pick up the transport for a tour. I recommend that you, if you want to take a risk, be very careful when driving around. I searched a lot before booking and unfortunately I did not see any comments about the danger of the area.

Hostel staff are very friendly and accommodating. The location is excellent, next to the bohemian district and also close to Cerro Christobol. The metro station, intersecting both line 1 and 5 is within a couple of minutes of walking distance. We reached a few hours before the official checkin time, but we were given the room that was very helpful. The only problem we had was because of the heavy rain on the second day, there was some water leak from the ceiling in our room. But we were shifted to another room almost immediately after we reported.

Rotten bathroom and you can't question it

Note that it is not possible to make a review on Google. They suck. There are no bathrooms in the rooms. You take a shower while other people are using the toilet. The bathroom is full of mold on the ceiling. They tried to hide it with black paint but it's so heavy that the paint has already broken.
I complained about this lack of information on booking and became person non grata. One guest complained about being treated badly by another and then they blamed it on me and sent me out. The guest went there and explained that it wasn't me but someone else, but I continued to be expelled. They said they would refund my daily rates but they didn't. They told Bookin that I behaved badly, that is, I questioned the lack of information about the bathroom.
Breakfast is limited, only 1 fruit, 2 slices of cheese and 1 yogurt.
There are many other better options in Santiago and with honest gnt.

Most humiliating experience in a hostel ever

I was kicked out to the street by the receptionist on Friday, April 5th at 1:15am while waiting for my transport right after dropping off a friend that was a guest of the hostel. The reason the receptionist gave me was that "I was not a guest of the hostel" and that "they have had very bad experiences in the past". I asked him to please let me wait at the reception because being left out alone on the street was quite unsafe especially at that time. The receptionist shouted and demanded that I leave and pushed me out of the hostel and closed the door. It's the most humiliating experience I've ever had in a hostel ever. I wish no one ever experiences something like this.

If you pay by cash, the money must be in perfect conditions. They can not be ripped or stained. This property might pre-authorize your credit card. Taxes not included: 19.00% TAX Foreign tourists can be exempted from paying Taxes ONLY when paying in American Dollars in cash or by credit cards and providing the passaport with the tourist card given at the airport (PDI paper). During the check-in, we'll give you a electronic key card that for Hostel and room access; for this we ask a deposit of 5.000 CLP or 10 USD in cash as a guarantee that you will get back at the moment of the check-out. Towels are not included in shared room rates, just in private rooms. We have a 24-hour reception so do not hesitate to write to us with any questions. During your stay you can ask us for extra blankets, hair dryer or clothes iron at reception. You can not smoke in the rooms, balconies or closed areas, only on the terrace. The check-out deadline is at 12:00, if you want to stay longer you can store your belongings in our luggage room and enjoy our common areas or leave and return for them before 9:00 p.m. IMPORTANT: To be able to stay with us, remember to bring your covid vaccination certificate.
