The Wilderness Resort in Kotgarh, Narkanda, continues to be our go-to destination for family vacations and staycations. Nestled amidst a mesmerizing location, this place offers an exceptional stay that feels like a perfect escape from the mundane.
The food here is nothing short of awesome—deliciously prepared and served with care. The courteous staff goes above and beyond to make every guest feel special. A special mention to Rajesh ji, the leader of this incredible team, whose accommodating and kind nature ensures a memorable experience every time.
We’ll truly miss the charming Taran (the Husky) and Maggi (the Labrador), who were the perfect companions for our kids during our stay. Their playful presence added a unique touch to our vacation.
This was our 4th visit since 2015, and we can’t seem to get enough of this magical place. Highly recommend it for anyone seeking relaxation, rejuvenation, and a touch of adventure.

A Gem in the Hills
My family and I stayed at The Wilderness for two nights recently. It was one of the best decisions we took. The exclusivity of the place is unmatched - the location, the view, the hospitality. The staff, Manmohan and Harsh, took very good care of us. The kitchen staff dished out mouthwatering food. Rajesh was a very patient host while clearing our doubts.

Wilderness, Kotgarh, is a hidden gem in the serene hills of Himachal Pradesh, offering breathtaking views of the Himalayas and the tranquility of lush apple orchards. My three-night stay was nothing short of magical, with impeccable hospitality, delicious home-style food made from fresh local ingredients, and warm, courteous staff who went above and beyond to ensure every need was met. The location is perfect for reconnecting with nature, and the services, from guided treks to personalized care, were outstanding. A perfect retreat for anyone seeking peace, beauty, and genuine hospitality!

If there is paradise on Earth...it is here, it is here, it is here!
This property is like a piece of heaven that is revisited on earth, mesmerizing food, very kind staff, the property is set on a very beautiful location, unlocking all the parts of nature, you can cycle wherever you want, giving you a chance to see the beautiful world of the mountains. If I were to rate this resort, i'd rate it 10 star. I am awestruck by its natural beauty, the silence in the absence of sound, the excellent service and homely staff, the number of activities one can indulge in. Take the day off on a different hiking trail every now and then, sit by the Tannijubbar lake and have your meal atop the hill, surround yourself with the local and colourful Gods at the Naagdevta temple and the various myths that surround it...get wildlife charms by the occasional sounds of the leopards in the distance or just lounge in the massive and luxurious hill view bedrooms which have been curated with hill views!
A special shout out to the two lovely entertainers and souls of the property--- the husky Tanana and Maggi the lab!

Experience tranquality and complete relaxation in nature
If you want silence and bird chirping with a view to snow clad mountain (not on summer I guess) then this is a place to visit.
Location: It is actually another 10/11 KM from Narkanda, the exact location is Tanijubbar, Hatu peak is en-route. You need to take an abrupt right turn from the road which is going up (need to drive further few mtr and make a U turn to get on the slope), just behind TaniJubbar Lake and besie botabical garden. Contact hotel to share location and follow map but route is pretty straight, remember to take the right upward slope which map will point out.
Amenities: A small library
View: The view of the lake is like picture postcard. There is small temple and from there if you take snap if the entire lake with the pine trees lined up, you feel mesmerizing, photos look like foregin location. The snowclad mountain view from room, balcony, dinning room will cast a spell. Early morning sunrise when first ray will come up on mountain is a view to behold, outstanding wide view which one can only imagine in a clear day.
Food: decent homely food which we liked very much, all meals included coz it is in a village.
Room: Most rooms are suit room. we stayed on room no 10, view from room and also from balcony is excellent. Other than enjoying nature and listening to bird chirping, there is no other things one can do (of course reasing book is an option)
