Really central location making it very easy to get to from the airport as well as walk to main sites, shopping areas & transport hubs. Felt safe despite the casinos and bars at lower levels with lots of nonresidents & people passing through. Big rooms with all the amenities. Staff are helpful without being pushy. Would stay again.

My sister checked into the SKYCITY hotel, but her room was assigned on the first floor. She requested to be moved to a higher floor, and the front desk staff told her that if she had booked directly with the hotel, she would have been assigned a higher floor. However, since she booked through Hotels.com, they couldn't change her room. Additionally, when she asked to borrow a wine opener, she was told that there was only one in the entire hotel, and the staff waited in her room until she opened the wine and then took it back. It is disappointing that the hotel didn't inform her about the limited availability of wine openers in advance and provided such unthoughtful service.

I booked 2 rooms. Hotel was kind to put our rooms next to each other. Staff was friendly. Check in was quick and easy. Shower was spacious and clean. However, the room condition was just OK. Carpet in the room was dark but had lots of stains. Bath towels had stains. Room wasn’t clean properly (I.e. coffee mugs had stains and hadn’t been washed). I didn’t check the second room, so this review is for my room.

A lovely hotel, central to the city. Clean and comfortable as well as being really spacious. Very close to the shops and restaurants.

The best thing is the location. Very central in Cbd.
Same place to go to the Sky Tower.
A short walk to the harbour and easy walk to Queen Street, our main walkaround area.
