3 star hotel and not 4

We stayed at the In Gold Hotel in Águeda, and although it was advertised as a 4-star hotel, we felt that the experience corresponded more to a 3-star hotel. The spa was disappointing: there is no jacuzzi, the indoor pool was just warm, which is insufficient for the cold days, and the space, supposedly for 12 people, has an insufficient amount of loungers. Also, one of the water jets was not working. The only positive point was the view. In the room, we liked the LED lighting in the bed, which creates a pleasant atmosphere, but we couldn't enjoy a relaxing bath because the poliban presented tilt problems, which caused the water to spread across the floor, and we had to use towels to contain the water. We also noticed that the TV control worked hard and the TV channels were absent, offering only Smart TV apps. On the other hand, the gastronomic experience was good, with emphasis on the varied and well served breakfast. Overall, the hotel has potential, but several details need improvements to justify the 4-star rating.

Disappointment

We were disappointed with the 4-star hotel. Bedroom and bathroom with little hygiene, bath towel all used, with holes. There were only two pillows in the room, no replacement. All available services had an exaggerated cost, from the use of the pool, sauna and towels, not to mention breakfast at 10€ per person. A hotel to never return.

Very weak

We went in family to spend 2 days at this very well located hotel in Águeda, of 4 stars, but that would rate as 2 stars.
The positive points are really the location and breakfast that besides not having much variation was very good.
The downsides are immense, from a small room, super uncomfortable beds and pillows, very small TV that could not watch TV on any channel. The base of the poliban was awful wet the whole floor, no fan was full of moisture. The noise at night and in the morning is terrible, they say to have incarnation but in fact you hear everything, with works ahead it was difficult to rest. As the doors of the rooms were difficult to close, we heard the guests constantly pushing to the doors to close them. Super tight garage and almost crowded. We didn't even go to the pool and the spa because it was outside and it was immense cold. Honestly for a 4-star rated hotel is very weak, as we already stayed in 2-star hotels with much better conditions.
