Damp and dirty

This place could be very modern and nice if only a few investments were made because the apartment itself is not so old. However, this is not the case. First night we came we noticed that our shower curtain smelled like mold but it was too late then so we hoped we'd get used to it. In the next days we realized it wasnt just the curtain but the whole place, right upon entering the room you could smell the mold so we had to constantly open the window. It was so damp that after turning the heat on, there were water drops dripping all over the window. Our table was all cut and the floors looked like they hadnt been mopped for days. There were no bed sheets on the bed, just some covers and the whole place looks really worn out. Oh and the internet! Well it works for 5 minutes and then you spend another five searching for it because the wi-fi signal is terrible and this repeats itself on and on.
In 5 days of our stay we couldnt get a decent sleep because of the noise. The apartments are under the plane route so we kept hearing airplanes and also the metro plus the walls are very thin so we heard all of our neighbours. During our stay they even had some construction works in neighbouring buildings so from an early morning we could hear the hammering and were awaken by it.
The neighbourhood is fine, lots of medical laboratories and hotels but other than that, this place is the worst. Sabrina was nice and kind to us so I even felt sorry for leaving such a review but someone should warn others just as I wish I was warned by previous guests. Avoid at all costs.

7Rios Rooms Lisbon, Portugal

7 rios room, Avenida Colimbano Bordalo Pinheiro N 93, 1D Lisboa Portugal. I read the reviews and they were good; however, we did not experience anything good at this place. It was my fault for not making sure that what I was booking was a hostel instead of a hotel. I wasn’t sure because it doesn’t say hotel or hostel. With that said, there is no excuse for the misleading advertisement. Let me advise you about this place. It has no name sign, so even if the taxi drops you right in front of it, you will be scratching your head trying to find it. Once you find it, hopefully someone will be there to give you the room key. I say hopefully because during our three nights there, we only saw Nunu (I think that is his name) twice; the first time when we arrived and another time for like 3 minutes. There is no front desk person, there is no one there during the day, there is no one there at night. If you have a question have to call the number on the card you are given at your arrival. If you don't have phone service in Portugal, like us, you are out of luck. The room I booked had a private bathroom; which had mold in the shower, the shower curtain was falling apart, the room was missing some of its laminate floor; the room walls had mold; the towels were so old and poorly cleaned that they were no longer white, they were yellowish; the small decorative rug was nasty dirty, there was no remote control for the TV and the air-conditioning didn't work. The floors have not been mopped in who knows how long (I dropped something and got on my knees to pick it up and when I got up my jeans knee areas were filthy dusty.) Although the kitchen looked modern and nice the refrigerator and freezer had old food (we saw rotten lemons and more). To my taste the mattress was too soft; however my mom thought they were comfortable. When returning back to our room from our day trips the room smelled musty.
The neighborhood was ok, not bad, not good, just ok. It was very close to the Sete Rios bus and jardim zoo metro stations.
I do not recommend this place unless you really don't have the money.

Disappointing

We rented a room in this place expecting a modern apartment with more privacy. It turned out to be more a hostel than an apartment - shared kitchen and common area, noisy neighbours and only some of the rooms had a private bathroom. We thought we were lucky to have it in our room but it turned out to be the worst part. The shower curtain was so smelly that it was dominanting the place, I was the one cleaning the shower because no one else did it and the hair inside was stoping the water to go away, it had a wooden floor inside the shower what I thought extremly disgusting because of the possible fungus infection. The whole room had a big problem with mold, the third night I felt sick and had to open the windows, and we are talking about January. The last but not least, the apartment is noisy as hell - there are planes passing over your head, we were sure we heard the metro passing beneath us, in the morning you could hear construction noises and our neighbour was trowing up the whole night, which I totally understand because I almost did the same after spending 4 nights in this place. The wifi did not work, there are no sheets on the bed, no TV, only one dirty towel per person, a lot of dust everywhere. Smelly, dirty and noisy, not so cheap eather.
