One of our favorite properties now in the world!!!!!
My wife and I have spent the better part of 20 years traveling the world. Sadly, without children, this has been our most treasured shared passion. During our travels, we usually use an agent and have historically been connected with many of the world's most luxurious properties- Four Seasons, Aman, Ritz, Park Hyatt, Singita and on and on. Although we had been in a few gorgeous "boutique" hotels, they had been the paucity of our experience. After coming to Casa Beatnik, I am not sure if I can enjoy the aforementioned properties in the same way again.
I will start with the food. The morning coffee, the morning wellness drink, the cocktails at the pool, the cocktails in the evening bar. Each were carefully curated and special. Nothing was routine or not carefully thought out. Also each was prepared with care and exceptional. Literally every single one. Then, I learned that the ownership group got its start in restaurants and upscale bars in Chicago. It figures and it shows. The food was just as exceptional. I like to think of myself as a blueberry pancake connoisseur - Ihop (still awesome), Ritz sunday brunch in Paris, Four Seasons Tokyo had been my favorites historically but these were AMAZING. I had them everything single morning of the 5 days and still dream about them. The lunches we had were exceptional (we had two) and the three dinners were magical. The kitchen had been trained I learned by the group from Chicago and everything was just incredible. They had Oysters in iberico ham oil flamed at table side. They had me at Normandy (French) oysters and Iberico ham. I didn't think you could combined them, but whoever had that idea was a genius. The food was easily comparable to any Michelin establishments or fine dining establishments we had been at. A++++++++
The room was fantastic. We were right above the lobby. It was large, it was quiet (I took naps each day) and I could not hear anything. It was gorgeous and each room is a little different than the others. It made it even more special.
The staff were exceptionally attentive. We were even lucky enough to meet the chicago family that designed it. They are lovely and so friendly. We didn't even know they were there and it was such a pleasant surprise when another guest mentioned they designed and owned it. We have to try their chicago places on our next visit.
Lastly, what brought us to Galicia?? We had been to Spain 15-20 times over the years (we obviously love it). We love the food, the culture, the fact that 6 year old children and 80 year old grandparents start dinner at 11 pm, the fact we are expected to nap each afternoon. What is not to love. That being said, we had never been, nor necessarily heard much about Galicia.
We have been missing out. It had incredible seafood (which we love and I am from Boston). It had wonderful beaches that were within 30 minutes, the town was remarkable and I learned all about "El Camino" which it turns out is not just the sequel of breaking bad or a bad-ss car, but one of the world's most important and substantive pilgrimages. When visiting the the Church of Santa Maria in Santiago, you really can appreciate the grandeur of both the city as well as its importance spiritually to many within the world. It is breathtaking.
The hotel has its own wine and vineyards and we spent each morning walking with coffee in the vineyards before we began a hike (short walk) to a portion of the Camino. Then I would play tennis (I met someone on property who enjoyed it as well) and the day they couldn't play I used the ball machine which is on the premises. It was awesome.
To summate, Wow. The hotel was magnificent. The food was literally perfect - breakfast, lunch and dinner. It was certainly NOT routine hotel food. The grounds of the hotel had enough biomes - amazing pool and lounge area, yoga area, walking through the vineyards (we even had sundowners there one night with a cigar), sauna, tennis, great hiking, etc, etc etc, but Galicia was also a hidden gem (hidden at least from our prior exposure).
My wife and I cannot wait to go back and imagine it will be in less than 12 months given how exceptional our 5 days were there. We could have easily spent a week-

Flawless, opulent and sublime.
From the get go it was perfection. It was easy to find and the hotel is so gorgeous inside and out.
The car park was huge and there was never an issue parking. The staff were sensational and super helpful and approachable.
The room was unbelievable, we had the king suite which had a beautiful view from the bathroom, main room and also a nice balcony overlooking the vines and the surrounding mountains.
The pool and pool areas are a stand out of the resort but every area is designed to perfection. The restaurant served lovely breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus the coffee, juices and cocktails were 10/10!
We would highly recommend this place to friends and family and would come back in a heat beat.

What a gem !!!
Pros:
stayed 2 nights in one of the six yurts,the whole experiance from start to finish was exceptional.
From the chard timber shower building to the magnificent vines and beautiful aromatic flowers your senses will be delighted at every turn.
Cons:
Not wishing to be negative, but both my wife and I didnt quite get the dining experiance they were presenting. Whilst im sure the best quality ingreadings are on offer we struggled a little with what I could only describe as unneccesary complexity within some of the dishes.
Would I go again ! Without a shadow of doubt
Take a look at the Bohemium group who own Casa Beatnik, they have many stunning places alike.

Try to know him.
We just did a stay with dinner, bed and breakfast. We were not lucky with the weather which was disastrous so the experience was not full, the gardens are very beautiful and so are the terraces and outdoor facilities. The decoration is undoubtedly the hallmark, eclectic although very marked by elements of Moroccan origin, the carpets are wonderful. You can't stop admiring the different objects and details, fascinated by the crystal lamps or the bedding. Perhaps the weak point for me is the room, just as expectations are met in the common areas, in the rooms you miss a little more sophistication according to the rest and according to the price, which is high. We booked one of the high-end rooms but you still end up halfway, they are small, they don't have a closet, the system is hangers with hangers. A bulky bar cabinet takes up a lot of space but does not provide service, inside there are a few unrefrigerated drinks, a capsule coffee maker and, surprisingly, the hair dryer. The bathroom is nice but the shower is uncomfortable because it only has a rain shower and no hand shower. We liked the restoration part, the dinner more than the breakfast where I missed more fruit. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, it is one of the strong points of the stay.

Inconvenient, expensive and much to improve
We spent one night and it was not pleasant at all. The rooms are on the 1st floor and there is no elevator, which makes it inaccessible to many people with physical difficulties. Our room was very small and uncomfortable but almost €400 a night.... NO WARDROBE; you had to put your clothes on a couple of hangers placed on the wall or on the radiator or leave everything in your suitcase. I don't want to imagine having luggage for several days. The bathroom is so small that the sink is in the bedroom, which is ugly and uncomfortable. The bar cabinet is a huge wooden cabinet that is NOT refrigerated, that is, the drinks are almost hot.
We had a cocktail mid-afternoon and asked for something to snack on but they told us they didn't have anything to accompany the drink.
They showed us the yurt rooms, which are beautiful but WITHOUT a bathroom inside, so for both the toilet and the toilet, you have to go outside to a SHARED bathroom.....I imagine going out in the middle of the night raining and with cold...this is Galicia!
We wanted to use the SPA but it had the same problem: it is outside and you freeze.
Dinner and breakfast were correct.
Luxury hotel?? Only the decoration is saved, which is beautiful. A place to see, but not to be. For us, a very uncomfortable place, very expensive and with many things to improve
