Super deluxe stay

Spent a lovely weekend here. The room was spacious and comfortable and comes wth a jacuzzi. There's access to a lovely deck area to spend evenings. Only had breakfast, which was decent. Surprisingly quiet/peaceful though within proximity of a busy road.

Just Lovely

My second visit and I love this little hotel. The staff go out of their way to provide a comfortable, personal service. The environment is cosy but elegant, and exudes tropical simplicity with exotic flora, featuring a glorious temple tree in the courtyard.
It's such a bonus to have a cool , quiet pool to dip into in the centre of the metropolis. The food here is excellent, particularly the jack fruit curry and the Sri Lankan breakfast.
Ellen's Place may be a little out of the way of the main tourist area of Colombo but it definitely provides value for money, comfort and the opportunity to take an adventurous tuk tuk ride or two!

Hidden Gem

Had a lovely stay here at Ellen’s Place for 3 nights. Excellently located just 5 min from the hustle and bustle of central Colombo, this property has a luxurious boutique feel and a fabulous plunge pool in a gorgeous little shady courtyard. We stayed in a suit which was spacious and well appointed.
Breakfast at Ellen’s place was simple, fresh and well flavoured consisting of fresh fruit and eggs cooked to order. The management at this hotel went well above to make our stay pleasant and we’re professional and helpful throughout.
Highly recommend this little oasis when staying in Colombo..!! 5/5

Amazing!!!

I’m a solo female traveller, and I 100% recommend Ellen’s place! The staff are so so lovely, they gave me tips on where to go and always made sure I was looked after - even found my lost pyjamas and ran to give them to me as I left! My room was huge, and the bed was so comfortable. It’s a quaint spot perfect for couples or on your own, and I had an amazing time. I would say their tour guide for Colombo could have better knowledge of the sights, but otherwise I would definitely advise people to stay here.

All perfect

Good staff, nice, clean and huge rooms, swimming pool, good sri lankan and western food. Nice and calm location. Reasonable rates. Free car park. Can not wait to come back. Highly recommended. Thanks for all.
