Swarming with tourists
The breakfast is designed clearly for only their benefit and the associated massive numbers.
The eggs are fried at speed, and it takes time to replace items as the swarm of locusts pass through the breakfast area.
The tourists even managed to break the lift so that it was necessary to walk up and down the many floors.
The hotel is out of the way and the roads to get there are not maintained in a good condition.
The restaurant is only open in the morning, so that you need to go out for lunch and dinner. It is difficult to get transport and the staff's level of English is not satisfactory. Even a Thai lady was unable to get transport arranged and had to walk to the main road.
There is a very limited supply of restaurants nearby.

Not a tourist area
The hotel was clean, rooms spacious...this place might work best for locals with cars. The price was very reasonable, just accommodating for foreigners. A guess should be able to get something to eat when staying, especially with no no transportation.
