Dog friendly Fantastic find
Fantastic Sunday lunch. Had the roast beef (14.95) and it is spot on. Plenty of beef, roast taters, carrots veg, collycheese and lovely crispy Yorkshire
Pint of wainwright and all was well.
Guy behind the bar was friendly and a big smile.

Ace B&B highly recommend.
The Canal Inn is great. Would definitely come back. I'll be using for business trips in the future. Food is amazing. Staff are friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable. Only thing was no iron for my shirt, but not a huge problem. Adequate bathroom and room refreshments.

Lovely little place Not too far from Nottingham or Derby but in a lovely setting.
The food was first class as was the service.

Very welcoming
Visited for first time after our dog walk such a cosy pub,had dinner which was beautiful my battered haddock was delicious the guy behind bar was very friendly & polite nothing was too much will definitely return highly recommend it's lovely to have a dog friendly pub

great pizza on Thursdays (or burger) plus a pint of beer or cider for £11.
Great good quality, welcome, customer service, portion size...
Good real ale, onsite microbrewery.
Desserts £7, we were full after pizza so didn;t need dessert.
first Thursday visit - will be back. Have also eaten there other days, also excellent.
Didn;t stay overnight so can't comment on rooms or breakfast.
Bus or train (hourly) a short walk away .
